Titanic Hotel’s two new Wedding Coordinators are a dynamic duo who are ready to transform Liverpool’s wedding offering with their combined passion and dedication. It’s no usual pairing though as Concha and Aurora Vázquez are twins. Originally from Seville, Spain, the 29-year-olds now call Liverpool home after both winning separate scholarships to study primary school teaching at Hope University.
Since graduating, they both decided that the hospitality industry was where they saw their careers progressing and after working together for three years, they separated to work their way up in the city’s hotels. After working in Reservations and Reception, both Concha and Aurora bided their time until they could transition into Wedding Coordination - a career they’ve both dreamt of since they were little girls.
They’re now back working as a double act as Titanic Hotel’s Wedding Coordinators, creating the most special environment where they can both support and learn from each other, whilst planning and creating unique wedding days for brides and grooms.
“We’ve been planning events since we were children. From eight years old we’d have big birthday parties and organise invitations, have a guest list at the door and create menus on blackboards. We also co-ordinated huge Christmas parties with our family with fancy decorations - it’s always been a hobby for us.”
“While gaining experience within the hospitality industry we realised this was the career we wanted. We have so much fun coming to work and love guiding couples through their journey. Our goal is to make it as stress free for couples as possible.”
When Concha started working at Titanic Hotel back in November, she never dreamt that Aurora would be joining her. But when the position became available, it was the ideal opportunity.
“We knew one day that we would reunite in our careers and working together is perfect - we’re both obsessed with details and being thorough. We support and learn something new from each other every day. We have the same way of working and dealing with people so it’s created the perfect team through our special family connection.”
Both Concha and Aurora are incredibly passionate about helping engaged couples from Liverpool and beyond make their wedding dreams a reality and no request is too big for the twin sisters.
“Titanic Hotel has two very special wedding venues - Rum Warehouse is absolutely spectacular and West Bay is so romantic and intimate and we’re prepared to tailor the venues for the Brides and Grooms special day. It’s so important that we take away all of the stress of wedding planning for them and although our job can be stressful at times, we always remember to enjoy every second.”
When it comes to tying the knot themselves, both Concha and Aurora agree they’ll take a step back and let someone else do the organising for them.
“Getting married is all about family time for us and we will want to enjoy that moment, so someone can take the stress from us when the time comes!”
