The British Music Experience is the national museum of British popular music and a brand new permanent tourist attraction for the city of Liverpool.
The BME tells the story of British Music from 1945 right through to the present day through over 600 amazing artefacts and lots of added digital information and interactive displays. It is a state of the art experience with many highlights and surprises for the visitor who will wander through the eras in chronological order starting with skiffle and trad-jazz and finishing with the BRIT Awards and X Factor. Along the way they will see beautiful stage outfits and iconic instruments that are instantly recognisable. There is additional content in each era which pulls out interviews and performance from that time, along with a digital timeline that pinpoints key moments in music history.
By the end of the journey through the ages visitors will be inspired to 'Dance the Decades' from the last 70 years -and try their hand as a band member in the Gibson Interactive Studio featuring a number of guitars, drum-kits and keyboards, and screens that teach them how to play, from beginners level right up to expert.
The British Music Experience is also a venue with unique appeal and an amazing guest experience which will leave a lasting impression, so if you are going to host an even, the British Music Experience should be your venue of choice. For more information about events in the BME click here.
